SOLO PROJECTS

I work on solo projects which blend elements of photography, film, installation, and performance. Some have resembled a kind of lecture-presentation. Others are planned as installations or or participatory constructions. I am not an actor, nor a performance artist. Sometimes these solo projects begin as a natural reaction to what I observe in a foreign city or institution where I am working. Other times these solo projects act as a retreat from the pressures of directing and making theatre/film. In the coming years, I suspect some of these future projects will drift entirely into an installation or exhibition setting; while others will retain and refine aspects more familiar to performance. Some of the projects listed here have premiered; while others are currently being developed.
